Trust is the hardest thing to build between two people who've never met. Escrow solves it by putting a neutral third party — the platform — in the middle of the money.

How it works

When a client places an order, their payment is captured and held securely, not sent to the freelancer yet. The freelancer can start work knowing the funds are there and committed. When the work is delivered and the client approves it, the money is released.

Why it protects everyone

  • Clients don't pay for work they haven't received
  • Freelancers don't work without a guarantee of payment
  • Disputes have a clear, mediated process
  • Neither side has to trust the other blindly on day one

It's a simple idea with a big effect: by removing the risk from both sides, escrow lets people collaborate confidently across the world on the very first project.
